Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide and a highly selective agonist of the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR-1a, the ghrelin receptor). Research literature highlights its selectivity profile — it stimulates GH release without significant elevation of cortisol, prolactin, or ACTH, distinguishing it from earlier GHRPs. Research applications: somatotroph pituitary function assays, comparative GHSR ligand studies, selectivity-screening in receptor pharmacology, GH-IGF1 axis dose-response work, and use as a reference compound for novel GHSR modulator development. Supplied as a sterile-filtered lyophilised acetate salt. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water. Lyophilised storage: -20°C for 24+ months. Reconstituted: ~30 days at 2-8°C. QC: RP-HPLC + ESI-MS. COA per lot on request.
